Website standards

The buzz word, or one of them should we say, in the web industry of today. Web Standards, Accessibility, WC3, W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, cross browser...

Dachshund wearing glassesOk, Accessibility, essentially - recently - new standards and rules came into place which meant that websites had to be developed and set-up in a very different way to the way in which this had been done before. Say good bye to your good old Front page, and DIY jobs, well - if you want to do it right - legally - that is. And that is what we are about - getting it right. By developing Accessibility compliant websites, and this is possibly the most important part to know, this is essentially that people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with your website. A little like a wheelchair ramp at your bank. For those who are not disabled the fact that this is there - or not - probably goes completely un-noticed, but for those who are disabled these are incredibly important factors making their life a whole lot easier. Cross Browser. State the obvious why don't we. Sadly, nowadays we have so many different browsers, and the clever developers who make each of them unique in their own special way. Which is nice. Or is it? Well, not really... This means that you then need to make sure your website can be viewed correctly in each one of these... namely Chrome, IE, Opera, Firefox, Safari...

A real headache? Not at all - well not for you at least :) - we ensure every single one of our sites adheres to all these rules, regulations, recommendations, requirements... all of it. We do it!
